What a lock pinned this digest as: the exact tag and repository, not what the compiler chooses to say about itself. A fork routinely builds without embedding its own build metadata -- stable.names.2 never appears in --help -- so this is the only place that information survives once the project moves on to the next pin. Informational only -- every run rewrites it from whatever the lock claims, so it must never decide what a jar may be reused as; flixw.fetchedFrom(java.lang.String) does that.
